The Battle of Buxar was fought on 22 October 1764 between Mir Qasim and the East India Company. When Mir Qasim complained to this ,the company fought a war with him in Buxar (a place in Bengal )and defeated him.
The Battle of Buxar was fought in October 1764 between the forces under the command of the British East India Company, and the combined armies of Mir Kasim, the Nawab of Bengal; Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh; and Shah Alam II, the Mughal Emperor. The battle fought at Buxar (currently in Bihar state, India), a town located on the bank of the Ganges river, was a decisive battle won by the forces of the British East India Company.
the battle was fought between the english and Mir quasim, shah alam 2 and shuja-ud-daula. it was fought because mir quasim abolished all their dutiesand the english ill treated the nobles and the poor people of bengal.there could not bebe two rulers in the same state so there was a conflict between one another
The battle of buxar was fought because Mir Qasim tried to free himself . He dismissed the court officals who favored the British . He hired European experts to train his army he also abolished all duties on internal trade so that both Indian and British merchants can trade on equal terms. This was unacceptable to the British merchants as it ended their trade monopoly and hence adversely affected their profits . The British now decided to depose Mir Qasim
