Biomass is a more meaningful measure of population size . why? explain with examples?

Biomass is more meaningful measure of population size because:
1. In some cases it is difficult to count the number of organisms to determine the population of that area. For example, in a laboratory culture of bacteria or counting trees in a large forest is impossible and time consuming.
2. Also in some cases, biomass in terms of densities is more meaningful such as when an area has many small plants but one large banyan tree expressing population.

I dis is the answer im not very sure

hope it helps u

biomass is a more meaningful measure of population size because it is expressed in terms of dry weight since dry weight avoids variation in weight due to seasonal moisture difference
