Bishamber Nath was a middle-aged man, almost as old as Bholi's father. He was a widower with grown-up children. He was well-off financially and agreed to marry Bholi without a dowry. On seeing pockmarks on Bholi's face, he demanded a hefty sum to marry her. He was unmoved by the girl's family's pleas and this shows that he was inconsiderate and hard-hearted,

Bishambhar Nath was able to do cross over from another village. He was 45 or 55 years of age.Nearly same age of Ramlal. He had a big shop house of his Own and he had several thousand in the bank nice parents were happy because Bholi be lucky to get such a well to do bridegroom he was not asking for any dowry in the beginning parents thought them as lucky because December was from another village who did not know about bholi's bookmarks on lack of sense if they didn't accept this proposal then boli might have to remain unmarried all her life parents in their ignorance and backward thinking felt that daughters are a liability or a burden dispose off my marriage and boli with her disadvantages look and stammering had a full chance of that
