When we burn coal diesel and petrol then they release a lot of amount of gaseous pollutant in the environment. These pollutants are sulphur dioxide, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide as well as a harmful gas named methane.
This sulphur dioxide gives rise to acid rain and thus damage the soil during the rainy season
This soil gets the compound like sulphur dioxide mixed in it due to rain and gets mixed with water and result in polluting the water on a very large scale.
