But NaCl means solid NACL so how can solid NaCl be an electrolyte?
Dear student
NaCl is solid in the state is a bad conductor of electricity but When the NaCl melts or dissolves in water it behaves as a strong electrolyte because the Solid NaCl has no free electrons but when it is dissolved in water, it ionizes hence conduct electricity.
NaCl(s) = Na+(aq) + Cl-(aq)
Maybe here NaCl means aq. NaCl
