calculate the work done in lifting body of mass 10kg to a height 10km above the ground....

Work done in lifting a body,

W = -mgh

m=10kg

g =9.81ms-2

h = 10km = 10000m

W = -10*9.81*10000

 = -9.81 *105J

  • -1

10km=10x1000=10000.work done=-mgh(here -sign shows that body is going up..means against the value of g.Work Done=-mgh=-put d respective values in d equation

  • -1
