Can CH3COONa be regarded as basic salt???

Dear student. Sodium acetate is formed by the reaction between NaOH, which is strongly acidic and CH3COOH, which is a weak acid. So, an aqueous solution of this salt is basic in nature. So, it can be regarded as a basic salt in aqueous state. Regards
