can someone please tabulate the difference between "terrestrial planets and jovian planets" on the basis of data given below ??!!
Dear Student,
Regards
Jovian Planet | Terrestrial planets |
They are gaseous planet composed of light elements such as Hydrogen and Helium. | They have solid surface composed of rock and Iron. |
They are gigantic like Jupiter. Hence also called Jupiter like a planet. | They are small in size like Earth. Hence also called Earth-like planets. |
Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus fall into this group. Formed at quite a distance from the parent star. | Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars fall into this group. Formed at close vicinity of the parent star. |
