i ) Things which are equal to the same thing are equal to one another.

Example :  If  AB  =  x   and CD  =  x  , Then AB  =  CD 

ii ) If equals are added to equals, the wholes are equal.

Example :We have AB  =  CD                 --- ( 1 )

And

x =  y                                                      --- ( 2 )

Add equation 1 and 2 we get

AB + x  =  CD  + y

iii ) Things which are double of the same things are equal to one another.

Example : Let we have two equal radius circles , r₁ = r₂                 --- ( 1 )

We know diameter of circle  = 2 ( Radius )

So,

d₁ = 2r₁   and d₂ = 2r₂   From equation 1 we get

d₁ = d₂ 

Therefore, all axioms are consistent .
