Can u explain simple,complex,compound sentences

Dear Student,
A simple sentence is made up of only one subject, one predicate and a finite verb.
For example:

They already fell asleep when we reached there.

A compound sentence is made up of two independent clauses joined with a coordinating conjunction.

For example:

He wanted to buy some clothes, so he went for shopping.

A complex sentence is made up of an independent clause and one or more dependent clauses joined with a subordinating conjunction.

For example:

She hurt her foot while entering the house.
