can u give me a brief summary about girgit in hindi and english  please make it fast because i have exams in the next week and  i am unable to understand it  please make it soon

Jammu, Oct 16: Hindi play, ‘Girgit’ directed by Balwant Thakur today featured in Natrang’s weekly theatre series ‘Sunday Theatre’.

Based on a Russian short story by Anton Chekhov, the play, according to a communiqué, proved to be the hard hitting satire on the present socio-political system. “The adaptation of the play was deeply rooted in the soil of Jammu and its dramatic structure made the audience feel as if they are watching their own story. Every time the play is staged, some highly contemporary and situational aspect is added to it which refines its beauty,” the communiqué said adding Natrang had been endeavoring to showcase relevant political and social satires and today’s play demonstrated to be the shining example of that.

THE PLAY

The play revolves around a dog and corrupt police officer, who changes colours like a chameleon, every time as the situation changes irrespective of right or wrong. The stage action starts when a dog bites a pickpocket who approaches the officers to help him to roundup owner, but in vain. A passerby hints that the dog belongs to the local Minister as he saw a similar dog moving around his bungalow. On getting his clue, the officer starts beating the pickpocket for teasing a respectable dog. The officer claims that a dog of minister cannot bite unless and until forced to do so. While he is beating the pickpocket, another man from the crowd observes that the local minister cannot keep such dog, as he is known to have pointer-hunting dogs only. On this, dog is thrashed and search continues for the owner of the dog to enable the pickpocket to claim the compensation. The beating of dog continues until a servant of the minister appears on the scene. At first he refuses to recognize the dog, but later identifies him as the minister’s brother’s dog who has visited from Delhi. Here the dog is escorted back home with full official protocol.

Chameleon Anton Chekhov's story is composed by Russia. The author is mimicked by government officials who remain at high Hodon forget their interests to the interests of the public like a chameleon from time to time may change color. She forget to justice and the rule of law in place to judge people only tend to make a mockery. This is the story of an inspector Ochumelov. But to say this is the number one sycophant and corrupt police officer. Kyukrin bitten by a dog, a goldsmith. He grabbed the dog is about to punish him that threatens Ochumelov come there is. When asked by someone so small breed of dog it is, can not be of general Ochumelov then goes to Kyukrin. General's servant came and confirmed that it is the General's brother's dog. Ochumelov the Kyukrin then wandered from his point the blame on the dog by the General's staff sends them his salute. Kyukrin's fault as when he has become a laughing stock in front of everyone.Making a mockery of the law, the law is supposed to protect.

Ochumelov, a police inspector in this story is walking through a marketplace when “all of a sudden the sound of a voice came to his ears”. After following the voice he discovers that it is Khryukin, who has come by the lumber yard to pick up wood.    Khryukin claims to have been bitten by a stray dog and demands compensation and that the dog be shot. Ochumelov, now under the eye of an immense crowd of onlookers, immediately agrees with the complainant, pronouncing, “it’s time something be done about gentleman who are not willing to obey the regulations!”. But when someone in the crowd who has come to see what is going on suggests that the dog is the General’s, Ochumelov changes his attitude, now blaming Khryukin for the incident.
Another onlooker then tells Ochumelov that the dog is in fact not the General’s, and again he changes his attitude, claiming that “the General’s dogs are expensive…and this one- just look at it! Ugly, mangy cur!”. Ochumelov goes on to change his mind every time someone suggests something different about the incident, only in order to protect what will be good for his self. He is worried only about his image as a public figure, each time making his decision based on how he thinks the crowd will perceive him. Ochumelov is the perfect embodiment of human injustice and hypocrisy.    After, the story goes on to figure out whose dog it is and it’s revieled that it’s the generals brothers. Being friends with the general, the inspector got the dog back to its owner.
