Can we call ion as charged element?

Solution
Ions can not be called as a charged element, rather it can be called as  a charged atom or molecule.

Ions are electrically charged species formed by covalent bonding of atoms of two or more different elements.

They are also considered as the conjugate acid or conjugate base of the neutral species.

For example:-

NH4 +, H3O+, SO4 2-, CH3COO-, CO3 2-, PO4 3- etc.
