Can we use ammeter instead of galvanometer for meter bridge experiment

Dear student,
No, an ammeter can not be used instead of a galvanometer in the meter bridge experiment.
As the sensitivity of the galvanometer is much more than that of the ammeter.
Thus small currents can not be predicted by the ammeter, whereas small currents can cause a significant fluctuation in the galvanometer.
Thus using an ammeter, one can not evaluate the null point exactly
