Can you explain food security system

Food security is a concept that has been introduced by the United Nations' Committee on World Food Security. It means that all people at all times should have physical, social, and economic access to safe and nutritious food in accordance with their dietary preferences. Moreove, the food should be sufficient for an active and healthy life.

Food Security means that all people at all times have physical & economic access to adequate amounts of nutritious, safe, and culturally appropriate foods, which are produced in an environmentally sustainable and socially just manner, and that people are able to make informed decisions about their food choices.

The components of food security system are

1) food as a basic right
2) food distribution system
3) affordability of food
4) sustainable agriculture

The Word Food Security is defined as to ensure that all people at all times have both physical and economic access to the basic food they need.As for as the Food security system in India is concerned, it is related to the distribution of food-grain in the food deficit areas, towns and villages either through Govt.
