Q. The measured value of a physical quantity exceeds its error by an amount of 75 units. If the percentage error is 15 %, then what is the value of the physical quantity?

Dear Student,

Percentage error in a quantity is given by-% Error=Δxx×100Here , Δx is absolute error (difference in measurement with respect to true value)and x is true valueHence for the given problem15=75x×100    x=7515×100 =500 units

Regards.
