Can you please give me the character sketch of Mr. James Bates ( gulliver was his apperentice

Mr. Bates was a nice and generous man. Gulliver worked as his apprentice for four years. Later he studied medicine for two years and worked  as a surgeon on swallow, due to Mr. Bates recommendation. After coming back from the voyage he decided to settle in London and work form there, Mr. Bates recommended Gulliver to his patients.This shows godd nature of the man and his that he was a good teacher to Gulliver. After Mr. Bates death , Gulliver's business began to fail and so he decided to be a ship surgeon. Gulliver is successful in this work, It will not be fair if Mr. bates is excluded from Gulliver's success. He taught him well and thus Gulliver became a successful surgeon.
