Time to travel from man to first wall and back = 0.6 s
Time to travel from man to second wall and back = 0.8 s
By this time, the echo from the first wall has travelled 0.2 s towards the second wall.
Echo from first wall will take further 0.6 s to reach the man, and echo from second wall will also take 0.6 s to travel from man to first wall and back.
So, the time required for the next echo is 0.8 s + 0.6 s = 1.4 s
option(B) is correct.
