Can you please solve this for me??

Dear Student

Given that the force applied to the smaller piston A is 4 kgf
1 kgf = 10 N
4 kgf = 40 N
Area of cross section of piston A = 8 cm² = 0.0008 m2
Area of cross section of piston B = 320 cm² = 0.032 m2

(i) Pressure acting on piston A in the downward direction = Thrust / Area
P = 40 / 0.0008 = 50000 Pa

(ii) According to Pascal's Law, pressure acting on piston B = Pressure acting on piston A = 50000 Pa

(iii) Pascal's Law states that pressure exerted inside a liquid is distributed equally in all directions everywhere such that its effect everywhere is the same. It also means that the increase in pressure at any point inside the liquid produces an increase in pressure of an equal amount everywhere inside it.

(iv) Thrust acting on Piston B in upward direction = Pressure x Area of B
Thrust = 40 x  0.032/0.0008 = 1600
