Can you please tell me the answer to this question?

Dear Student
Given radius of the circle = 7 cm
diameter of the circle must be the diagonal of the square.

Let the side of the square be 'a' cm.

Therefore, diagonal of square

Now, diameter of the circle = 2 ×7 cm = 14 cm

Now, area of square = a2 = (7√2)2 = 7√2 × 7√2 = 98 cm2

Area of shaded region = area of circle - area of square
                                        =πr2-a2=(3.14×7×7)-98=153.86-98=55.86cm2
