can you pls give me the character sketch of anne frank, margot frank and mrs vandaan

Anne Frank

Anne Frank's courage and determination in the face of adversities and under life-threatening circumstances is not only admirable but inspiring. Her story has remained a testament to the enduring spirit of human beings. Anne was a thirteen year old girl who hid with her family in a warehouse for two years in Amsterdam in order to escape incarceration from the Nazis. Living in a household of eight members in the secret annex,Anne becomes an acute observer of the interpersonal relationships between the people and an insightful take on life in general. We see the playful, rebellious, petulant child blossoming into the mature, observant and intelligent young woman in the pages of her diary conveyed through alternating candour and sincerity. She is different from the rest of the women in her family, she learns to differentiate between adolescent infatuation for Peter Schiff and a maturer relationship that she shares with Peter van Daan. She sees her world crumbling to dust but even then she promises to hold on to what she believes in that this chaos and confusion will come to an end and the world will change for the better. She empathises with those who could not escape the clutches of the Nazi, she is haunted by them but she still holds on to hope.

Margot Frank

Margot was the conventional, dutiful and obedient elder sister, a delicate young girl who spoke little. She was similar to her mother in terms of temperament and disposition but quite content in being on the sidelines. In Anne's words, Margot was considered to be the smartest, kindest, prettiest and the darling of her parents while her sister was the loveable mischief maker. A quiet girl, the impact of their circumstances on Margot is not made evident to us because she does not question things as much as Anne does and this Anne finds exasperating. There are references to Margot's failing health and decreasing appetite from time to time which indicates that she is quite strained but like her sister we cannot help but admire her resilience and grace under pressure.

Mrs van Daan

Mrs van Daan was an interfering busybody, extremely selfish, coquettish, quarrelsome and unmindful of people's feelings around her. But she was also quite hardworking and had the ability to cheer up people by the sheer force of her personality. She takes an undue amount of interest in other people's children but neglects her own son and does not even make an attempt to understand or help him out. Mrs van Daan has a bittersweet relationship with hr husband involving noisy fights and then making up in public to the disgust of those around them. She is a full-grown woman who refuses to behave with maturity, instead chooses to display herself as a frivolous young girl.
