Can you suggest some other alternative to Mercury thermometers ?

Dear students, A thermometer is used to measure temperature. One alternative to the mercury thermometer is the digital thermometer it measures the temperature by monitoring changes in voltage and resistance of metals inside the device. Another alternative is platinum resistance thermometer. Regards,
