carrier proteins are involved in
active transport or
facilitated transport??
explain
Dear student,
Carrier proteins are involved in both active and facilitated transport. It depends on the movement of the molecules either in the direction of the gradient, that is from high to low concentration or against the concentration gradient, that is from low to high concentration.
The facilitated transport does not require energy but the active transport require energy to move molecules against the concentration gradient.
