Cells of parenchyma tissue are characterised by
A) absence of vacoule
B) Thickning at corner
C) Lignified walls
D) Intercellular spaces
If ans is d then there are parenchymatous tissues which do have intercellular spaces like conjuctive tissues .

Dear student,
Answer is d) Intercellular spaces.
Conjunctive tissues are found between xylem and phloem which can be parenchymatous or fibrous.Parenchymatous conjunctive tissues are soft like ginger due to the intercellular spaces. Fibrous conjunctive tissues are hard due to the deposition of fibres on walls and therefore lack intercellular spaces like monocot stem of bamboo.
