Cerebral penducles are present in midbrain, even then why do we use the word cereberal before penducles?

To specify and to locate the position at which the peduncle is present we use cerebral as an prefix before peduncle. Peduncle is a stalk like structure with which the organ is attached to.

hey, good question, a peduncle means a stalk bearing a fruit or a flower or a stalk by which an organ is attached...there is the word cerebral before peduncle because this peduncle is related to brain and not a in flower or in an animal. in the brain there is one peduncle on each side of the brain.
