character sketch of heelas from invisible man

Mr Heelas was Kemp's neighbour. he claimed that all the talk about an invisible man was nonsense and did not believe that the story of his escapades was true. When he witnessed the trashing of Kemp's house, the smashing of all the windows and the violent pursuit, he suddenly realised that the story of the invisible man was true. He proved to be a coward when he refused entry to Kemp who was being chased and attacked by the invisible man. He only looked after his own interest and bolted all doors and windows.
