character sketch of John Biddel of Dept ford

Gulliver escaped on a small vessel filled with food provisions and livestock, from Lilliput. He found a ship with English men returning from Japan. Mr. John Biddel was the captain of the ship. He was generous and hospitable man. Though he was suspicious, he was duly satisfied with the proofs  provided by  Gulliver. His hospitality was not diminished  by his suspicion. He was a good captain and man.
