Dear student,..... Chromosomal speciation theory states that chromosomal rearrangement can cause reproductive isolation between population and lead to speciation. Very Closely related species differ in their karyotype, chromosome mutation have fundamental importance in speciation. Example- Human and apes karyotype differs by one pair of chromosome. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes and great apes 24 pairs of chromosomes, fusion of 2 ancestral great ape chromosomes at their telomeres resulted in formation of large metacentric chromosome 2......
