classify variables and constants on the basis of dimensions? Give examples of each type?

On the basis of dimensions, quantities can be divided into four types :

1) Dimensional constants => Those quantities whose values are constant and they possesses dimensions is known as dimensional constants. For example, velocity of light in vacuum, gravitational constant, universal gas constant, Boltzmann constant, Planck's constant etc.

2) Dimensionless constants => ​Those quantities whose values are constant but they do not possesses dimensions is known as dimensionless constants. For example, pure numbers 1,2,3,4,...., mathematical constants π and 'e' etc.

3) Dimensional variables => ​Those quantities whose values are variable and they possesses dimensions is known as dimensional variables. For example, area, volume, density, velocity, acceleration, force etc.

4) Dimensionless variables => ​Those quantities whose values are variable and they do not possesses dimensions is known as dimensionless variables. For example, angle, strain, specific gravity etc.
