Compare river Ganga and river Indus on the basis Of origin features And beneficial States

The following points may help you to draw comparisons:

a. Indus river is one of the longest rivers in the World and one of the major rivers in Asia, originating from Tibetan plateau near Lake Mansarovar.
b. The river flows through north west through the Ladakh region in the state of Jammu and Kashmir and then it flows towards south direction along the Pakistan.
c. Some of its important tributaries are gilgit river, drass, jhelum, ravi, chenab, beas etc.
d.  The total length of the river is 3,180 km with a total drainage ares of about 450,000 square miles 


i. Ganges: It starts from Gangotri glacier and ends into Bay of Bengal and indeed is the largest river in India, covering almost 11 states.
ii. The total length of the river is 
2,525 km 
iii. Tributaries: Some of the main tributaries of river Ganga are Yamuna which meets Ganga at Allhabad, then Kosi, gandhak,Chambal, the Betwa and the Son flow which  from peninsular uplands.
iv. The headwaters of River Ganga are Bhagirathi and  is joined by Alaknanda at Devaprayag.

v. Ganga plain- It exists between  Ghaggar and the Tista rivers. and extends in the states of UP, Haryana,Bihar.  The ganga plain is subdivided into upper, middle, lower part and indeed is fertile region and apt for agricultural production. The river Ganga holds a spiritual significance and is considered as a holy river by Hindus.
