Compare the conclusion drawn from Urey - Miller experiment with the theory of spontaneous generation.

Dear student
Miller and Urey used a specially designed apparatus in which they recreated early earth conditions. It was a chemical experiment to give evidence to chemical origin of life.  Miller-Urey experiment proved that putative conditions on the early earth favoured chemical reactions that synthesised more complex organic compounds from simpler inorganic precursors.

Spontaneous generation held that living creatures can arise from non living matter. For example, maggots can arise from dead flesh. It was disproved later by Louis Pasteur and other scientists.
Regards.
