Compare the drainage system in your locality with that of the cities mentioned in the lesson. What similarities and differences do you notice?

Cities of the 6th century B.C. had drainage set ups for individual households in the form of ceramic rings placed one over the other.  However, presently drainage system has become more integrated with the grid pipelines that join the whole town together with a common vent.
