"Conservation of the forests is the need of the hour" . Justify the statement

The above statement signifies the fact that conservation of forest resources have become a need today.This is because human beings are over utilising the resources for their personal gains and causing harm to the environment.Humans enter sensitive ecosystems and extract precious specimens to sell as ingredients for medicines or delicacies.Morover, wild life is also disturbed due to destruction of forests .Many animals, birds and endangered species have become extinct or has come on the verge of extinction  due to loss of natural habitat caused by excessive exploitation of forest resources.
