construct a triangle ABC, bc=5 cm , angle A = 60 degree, Altitude AD=4cm,

Hi!
Here is the answer to the question.

Follow the steps to construct the triangle.
Step 1: Draw a line segment BC = 5 cm. Step 2: At B make ∠CBE = 60°. Step 3: Draw BF ⊥ BE. Step 4: Draw the perpendicular bisector of BC meeting BF at 'O'. Step 5: With O as centre and radius equal to OB or OC draw a circle BCK. Step 6: Then the segment BKC contains the angle 60°. Step 7: On the perpendicular bisector GO mark a point 'H' such that GH = 4 cm Step 8: Through H draw AHA′ parallel to BC. Step 9: Join BA and CA.

Thus, ABC is the required triangle.

Cheers!

draw BC = 5cm ....a perpendicular to BC - at any point...take the length of the perpendicular 5cm name the point A and joiin AB and AC

guess i'm correct

how to prove that angle A is 60 degrees

  • 0

SINCE A PERPENDICULAR BISECTOR IS CONSTRUCTED ie THE ALTITUDE     THE ANGLES FORMED WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE 60 DEGREE

  • -2

altitude is not a perpendicular bisector and perpendicular bisector is not necessary that it passes frn the vertices
