Construct an equilateral triangle having a side as 4.4cm.

  • 1
(i)Draw a base with 4.4 cm
(ii)With any one of its ends as centre, draw an arc with radius 4.4 cm
(iii) Similarly with the OTHER END, DRAW AN ARC TO INTERSECT THE PRVIOUS POINT.
(iv) Join both the centres to the point of intersection.
The required triangle is obtained...
Hope this helps you...

There are two ways to go about this question.1) Construct a TRIANGLE ABCDraw AB=4.4 cm, using scale and pencil. At point A, draw an angle of 60 degree. Do the same for point B. Extend the angle lines and their point of intersection is point C.2) Draw AB=4.4 cm using scale and pencil. Take radius of compass equal to 4.4 cm and cut an arc above the line from both the points. Where both the arcs meet, is point C.So, you have obtained your triangle, i.e. Triangle ABC. :)Hope this is helpful ;)
