Cost price of a pair of sandals and a pair of shoes is Rs 990. The pair of shoes costs Rs 450 more than the cost of the pair of sandals. Find the cost of each pair separetely???????????

Let the Cost Price of pair of sandals be Rs x.

Since pair of shoes cost Rs 450 more than pair of sandals.

So, Cost Price of pair of shoes = Rs (x + 450)

Now, According to the question

x + (x + 450) = 990

⇒ 2x = 990 - 450 = 540

x = 540/2 = 270

Hence, Cost Price of pair of sandals is Rs 270

and Cost Price of pair of shoes = Rs (270 + 450) = Rs 720
