Critically analyse the humorous aspects of the narrative packing

Often in this book, the packing scenes are of great comic effect. Jerome is very unsystematic, forgetful and disorganised. He forgets to pack most of his stuff and for his toothbrush he repeatedly packs and unpacks his bag whenever he goes on a journey. George and Harris are even worse and they are really chaotic in their packing. They pack the hamper after Jerome finishes all his packing and they make it messy by squashing tomatoes, sprinkling salt, smearing butter all over. To top it over Jerome’s terrier also behaves badly.
