Dear experts ,Give 2 classes of antibiotics. Is it bactericidal and bacteriostatic?

Classification of Antibiotics

There are several process for classified antibiotics, the most useful is classified  on chemical structure. Antibiotics within a structural class will generally have similar patterns of effectiveness, toxicity, and allergic potential.
The main classes of antibiotics are:

  • Beta-Lactams:- Penicillins & Cephalosporins
  • Macrolides
  • Fluoroquinolones
  • Tetracyclines
  • Aminoglycosides

Most commonly used  antibiotics are: Aminoglycosides, Penicillins, Fluoroquinolones, Cephalosporins, Macrolides, and Tetracyclines. While each class is composed of multiple drugs, each drug is unique in some way.

it is bactericidal as well as bacteriostatic.
Some antibiotics are bactericidal i.e that they work by killing bacteria.
Other antibiotics are bacteriostatic i.e that they work by stopping bacteria multiplying.

ANTIBIOTICS HAVE EITHER CIDAL (KILLING)EFFECT OR STATIC (INHIBITORY) EFFECT ON MICROBES.
IT IS BACTERICIDAL AS WELL AS BACTERIOSTATIC
  • PENICILLIN                            ERYTHROMYCIN
  • OFLOXACIN                           TETRACYCLINE
  • AMINOGLYCOSIDES              CHLORAMPHENICOL
