Dear experts,
Please answer this question, in the character sketch of Montmorency given by Meritnation, it is given in the third line of fourth para that he doesn't like boating trips, but in the final chapter, it is given that Harris raises a toast that this trip was a good trip and Montmorency accepts it. Does this line contradict with the third line of fourth para of Montmorency's character sketch given by Meritnation ?
Montmorency is the name of the dog. When the toast was raised, the dog must have given a 'woof' to show his dislike to sailing. By giving a 'woof' he agreed to their decision of not sailing anymore.
