Dear Meritnation,
I have a doubt considering the 6th question in the MCQ chapter test of topic tenses (english). The question states 'Which of the following statements are incorrect?' There were two options, 'The who are singing' and 'You are to be singing tonight'. I chose the option 'The who are singing' as the sentence is completely wrong in terms of arrangement and usage of words. However, the answer key said that the latter option was correct. Though I agree that its not gramatically correct, we do use it in terms of informal language. I believe the former option is correct. Kindly communicate regarding this matter.
Thank you

Thank you for pointing out the error.
The sentence in the third option should be "Those who are singing" which is correct.
The sentence in the fourth option "You are to be singing tonight" is incorrect. The correct sentence is "You are to sing tonight."
If this sentence is being used in everyday language, it is incorrect.
