1. Rotation is the movement of the earth on it's axis. The movement of earth around the sun in a fixed path is called revolution.
2. The earth takes 365¼ days to complete one round of the sun. However, we take 365 days of a year and ignore 6 hours. To fit these 6 hours, after every four years one day is added to the month of February, this is known as a leap year.
