Dear teacher,
The below question is shared from the chapter simultaneous linear equation ..l understood the solution but l kind a confused in the highlited pink portion
I am getting confused because when we found the value of y after solving by substitution we got the value as m - n ..but when they are substituting the value in the equation so they putting the value as 2m - m + n why cant it be 2m - m- n if the value of y is m - n
Please resolve it teacher
Hope l made the doubt is clear
I would be highly grateful to you

Dear student,
y=m-n
And,
x=2m-y
=2m-(m-n)
=2m-1×m-1×(-n)
=2m-m+n
=m+n
I hope it clears your doubts.

as y=m-n , -y =-m+n
Hope you understand :)
