Debate:
When I am walking suddenly someone comes and asks me for money pointing a Gun at me, I say 'please I don't have any', that Idiut shoots me in the Leg and runs away.
After 2 weeks in Hospital, I fear walking on the roads alone, actually I will never walk again on roads alone.
This person is a Criminal! 'Criminal' is a person who commits some crime without thinking what consequences may be faced by one who is victim of a Crime.
Should a person like that be Spared? What is the punishment for causing so much suffering to me? Yes, My Friends I am talking for the motion 'Criminals are wicked and should be punished'
A wrong done under any circumstances is a wrong. A poor person who wants to give food to his son will commit robbery or murder, If this poor man murders a young man just for money should he be left away? Who has given him right to harm others because he is in need? Would it not be better if a poor person just eat something from a Garbage can?

CRIMINALS DESERVED PUNISHED TO TEACH OTHER AGAINST THE REPETITION OF NON HUMAN CRIMES. IF THE CRIMINALS ARE NOT PUNISHED THEN, THEY START CRIME AGAIN AND AGAIN. To protect the security of society , they must be punished. if the criminals are not punished for their crimes then it will be an injustic to the victim. criminals deserved punishment as they cannot be reformed without being punished. If the criminals are not punished then people will not differentiated between criminals and non-criminal activities. that's why CRIMINALS DESERVED PUNISHMENT.CRIMINALS DESERVED PUNISHED TO TEACH OTHER AGAINST THE REPETITION OF NON HUMAN CRIMES. Arguments in favour of the motion:
a) Criminals deserve punishment as they are wicked. If they are not punished they will continue committing crime which will destabilize the society. Appropriate punishment will act as deterrent for the criminals to take to the path of crime.
b) If criminals are not punished for their crimes it will be an injustice to the victims.
c) Criminals deserve punishment as they cannot be reformed without being punished.
d) Since the doer of good work is rewarded with appreciation then it follows that evil doer like criminals is awarded with punishment.
e) If criminals are not punished people will not differentiate between criminal and non-criminal activities.

1) if someone commits a small crime for eg, steal a loaf of bread and is given 10 years jail time then the remaining 50 other criminals behind him, will think at least a dozen times before committing a crime. so, strict punishment acts as a deterrent.
2) this will effectively reduce the crime rates in a country/society and make it a better place to live in.
3) since there will be reduced crime rates, the courts will be less tied up and important cases can be argued within sufficient time and a quick verdict can be given for justice delayed is justice denied.
4)again, due to reduced crime rates, the funds allocated per prison can be cut down and diverted for useful purposes,
these are my arguments in favor of criminals being punished.
