Please view the below mentioned method to find the value of the variable in the linear equations presented by you.?
If the age of Deepak's brother is substituted?as x, then the age of Deepak will be 2x.
If the difference in their ages is 11 then the linear equations for representing this will be
2x - x = 11
= x = 11
Therefore the age of Deepak's brother is 11, and the age of Deepak is 2x which is 22.
Therefore the difference between the ages of Deepak and his brother is 22 - 11 = 11
Therefore the difference between the ages of Deepak and his brother is 11 years.
