Define:

(a) Plasmolysis

(2) Exocytosis

(3) Endocytosis

When cell is placed in a hypertonic solution water moves out, first from cytoplasm and then from vacuole. Cell membrane shrinks away from the cell wall. This is known as plasmolysis.

Endocytosis is the process involving the bulk transport of materials into the cell through membranes. It occurs by the infolding or extension of cell surface membrane to form a vesicle or vacuole. It is of two types, pinocytosis (cell drinking) and phagocytosis (cell eating). Endocytosis occurs through pseudopodia in amoeba.

Exocytosis  Exocytosis is the exact opposite process of endocytosis. Exocytosis is the cellular secretion of molecules by the fusion of vesicles containing them with the plasma membrane. Waste materials may be removed or useful materials may be secreted by this method.

 1. Plasmolysis is the process in plant cells where the cytoplasm pulls away from the cell wall due to the loss of water through osmosis. This occurs in a hypertonic solution. The reverse process, cytolysis, can occur if the cell is in a hypotonic solution resulting in a lower external osmotic pressure and a net flow of water into the cell. Through observation of plasmolysis and deplasmolysis it is possible to determine the tonicity of the cell's environment as well as the rate solute molecules cross the cellular membrane.

2.a vesicle containing cellular wastes products fuses with the plasma membrane, releasing its contents to the fluid outside a cell.
3.Endocytosis is an energy-using process by which cells absorb molecules (such as proteins) by engulfing them. It is used by all cells of the body because most substancesimportant to them are large polar molecules that cannot pass through the hydrophobic plasma or cell membrane. The process which is the opposite to endocytosis is exocytosis.

2)Exocytosis is the process in which the cell releases materials to the outside by discharging them as membrane-bounded vesicles passing through the cell membrane.

2) A process in which cell takes in materials from the outside by engulfing and fusing them with its plasma membrane.

hope this helped :)
