These five basic human needs drive behavior, and they consistently apply to school settings. This is our basic physiological need: to survive as indi- viduals and reproduce so that we can survive as a species. Survival includes our physical needs for food, water, air, safety, shelter, warmth, health, and sex.

Poverty line is an imaginary line which is fixed by estimated minimum level of income needed to fulfill basic needs of life.
People who cannot afford these basic needs of life are considered BPL.
Whereas people who can easily this basic needs as well as some kind of luxuries (example cars, land) are known as APL i.e. Above Poverty Line.
