Define polar and non polar covalent bond

Dear Student,
Nonpolar covalent bonds are made by two atoms sharing a pair of electrons with each other. These shared electrons combine two or more atoms together to form a molecule. Eg. H--H bond , Cl--Cl bond.

Polar covalent bonds are the interactions in which  one atom has a stronger pull than the other atom and attracts electrons. This means that the electrons are not equally shared between the two atoms because one atom spends more time with the electrons than the other atom. Eg. H2O has partial negative charge on oxygen, because it pulls electrons towards it.

Hope this helps.
