Define radiation , conduction and convection with an example. Pls explain?

Dear Student,

Conduction-

Conduction is the transfer of energy, mostly in the form of heat, through materials and adjoining surfaces. It is the general way by which heat travels through solids.

Convection-

Convection refers to the transfer of heat through fluids by means of rising currents. In geography, it is the motion of a liquid driven by gravity and temperature differences or the massive motion of heat within the atmosphere.

Radiation-

Radiation is a way in which energy moves one place to another. Thus, the energy released when a stone is dropped into water radiates away in circular waves.
