Define term veto ??
Dear Student,
The word veto in Latin means "I forbid". It is the power or right vested in one branch of a government to cancel or delay the decisions, enactments, etc., of another branch, especially the right of a president, governor, or other chief executives to reject bills passed by the legislature.
It can also be understood as the power to unilaterally terminate an official action, particularly the enactment of legislation. A veto can be absolute, as for example in the United Nations Security Council, whose permanent members can block any resolution.
