1.Biodegradable are the substances which can be biological degraded by organic matter by bacteria and fungi.
For e.g. biogas is produced by biodegradation by putting cow dung in a pit and covering it, where it is acted upon by bacteria which produces biogas.


2.Non Biodegradable are the substances which cannot be biological degraded by organic matter by bacteria and fungi.
eg:-Plastic

3.Composting is the purposeful biodegradation of organic matter, such as yard and food waste. The decomposition is performed by micro-organisms, mostly bacteria, but also yeasts and fungi.


4.Vermicomposting the mixture of decomposing vegetable or food waste, bedding materials, and pure vermicast produced during the course of normal vermiculture operations.
