Define velocity and acceleration

Dear student,

Velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement.

Velocity = Δx/Δt. Its SI unit is m/s

Acceleration is defined as the rate of change of velocity.

Acceleration =  Δv/Δt . Its SI unit is m/s2

Velocity is the diplacement of a body in a particular direction per unit time. It is a vector quantity Its SI unit is m/s.
Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity per unit time. It is a vector quantity. Its SI unit is m/s^2.
